About Us:
The James B. Schwab Co. was founded in 1951, and incorporated in 1952 by James
B. Schwab and resided in Falconer NY. James Schwab’s’ background was of a service nature and his philosophy reflected
those origins. He believed that service to the customer was the single most effective
way to build and nurture his accounts. That tradition has carried on to the present.
The fact that some of our customer base shares an over fifty-year history with
the Schwab Co. is a testimonial to his vision.
Originally built around the AB Dick dealership the company later acquired other
office and printing product manufacturers such as Ricoh, and most recently Kyocera
Mita. James Schwab Sr. had the foresight to add product lines to carry his customers
and employees well into the future.
The company expanded into Erie PA in late 1983 affording additional territories
and growth opportunities. As time passed, the second generation came of age and
in 1987 the brothers James Jr. and Dennis acquired the company. Using the same
business ethics and concepts practiced by James Sr., the organization continues
to flourish. We cannot always claim to be the least expensive, but we feel we
are the most cost effective based on the quality and value of our products and
services.
What We Do:
Office equipment is constantly evolving and combining. Our service technicians
training and education is ongoing to stay current and efficient. We invest in
our personnel at all levels to continually improve our performance in the field.
The Schwab Co. utilizes a software package exclusive to the office equipment
dealer arena. Daily reports are run to monitor parts tracking, consumption, back
order status, incoming service calls, priority call status and equipment exhibiting
excessive service. All of this information is calculated to determine the best
approach to a constantly changing daily service schedule. The same software that
allows us the flexibility in dispatch can also be used to generate reports for
the end user to evaluate the productivity and the performance of all or any of
their machine population. These are available by request at any time for your
review. Quality management is achieved as a combination of all the above factors and
as always, subject to the interpretation of the end user.
We feel that any of our references would support our approach to total customer
satisfaction.
